"Pfropfen"

One weekend ago we've been to Cork and Kinsale with nearly the whole Erasmus-Society. Actually I expected Cork to be a little more interesting, but anyway, we had a nice stay there. One of the highlights, regarding to the sights, was the St.Finbarre's Cathedral seen above.Later that day after a huge dinner (lots of pasta) we went out to the "An Brog" a nice pub where we occupied one of the two bars completly. Later after closing tome we met these two fellas, I can barely remember it, but my camera could... still a nice pic, even tough I can't remember shooting it.
The next day we cured our hangover in a nice little town called Kinsale, which is meant to be the little irish St.Tropez (as a french travel guide says). Well it was a nice little town with a lot of restaurants, but most of them were closed on Sunday aftrenoon. A nice place to stay, as we found, was the Charles Fort, seen above. One of the best preserved hexagram-shaped forts. A very green, quiet and peaceful place, the complete opposite of that what is was build for.
Returning from the fort, we had the typical fish and chips for dinner (ever tasted crumbed and fried smoked salomon?!) and made our way back "home" at around 6pm... Thanks to Pablo we watched a very very old John Wayne movie on the Bus - "Back to Bataan" - a perfect tranquillizer... Posted by Picasa

let it flow

Today we had a nice little foundry lab. We created our own moulds and casted them with aluminum... quite nice playing with sand again. Posted by Picasa

most mounted sign

On every construction site, every new or renovated building, every new rails... on nearly everything whats more or less new you can find this sign. But we still have to pay the f*** expensive fees for the busses and trains... I don't get it - we already did! Posted by Picasa

Back to the roots

Last week we had a nice paitball match (my first), nd I didn't expected the ammunition to hurt that much. Well, we had 4 matches (15vs15) in the forest. It rained the whole day that means crawling through mud, leaves and roots. I was the decoy in the 3rd match so I brought a lot bruises back home. Nice ring-shape... Whatever, it was fun and now my shoes are completely ruined.

On the 31st we had a nice lill' helloween-party at a friends place.

First I didn't want to go, but after I heard all the fireworks round here, I felt a little sad, so I went to have some beers with the others... I didn't regret it. We had a nice Night!

But the time has come to return to the basics... I'll come back to Hamburg from the 17th to the 29th December... Posted by Picasa
